Participants make offers in an amount of money corresponding to the sum of two bank-notes in different currencies (GBP, Euro etc.). The successful bidder with the highest offer gives the two bank-notes to the artists who eat them publicly and promise that, once evacuated, they will be returned to the bidder. Eating Money - An Auction took place for the first time in Italy in 2005.
